      Margaret M. Stoch

      Margaret M. Stoch, MHS, CCC-SLP, is a licensed speech-language pathologist and orofacial myofunctional therapist. She is the founder of Advanced Speech Therapy, Inc., a private practice clinic in Plainfield, IL.

      Margaret received her Master of Health Science degree in Communication Disorders from Governor State University. She holds a Bachelor of Health Science from GSU, Bachelor of Arts from Lewis University, and Associate in Applied Sciences from College of DuPage. Margaret also holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

      Margaret is dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and has completed over 380 hours of continued education since 2016. She is a four-time recipient of the Award for Continuing Education (ACE) from ASHA. Margaret has completed training in myofunctional therapy as well as training in breathing re-education through the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT) and is currently working toward earning her COM (Certified Orofacial Myologist) through the IAOM. Margaret has also been trained in the Buteyko breathing method by Patrick McKeown, the internationally acclaimed, Moscow accredited Buteyko practitioner. Margaret also completed certification in the use of VitalStim (NMES) for patients with dysphagia (swallowing disorder). Additionally, she is trained in the SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) feeding therapy technique.

      Margaret has experience working with pediatric and adult patients. Her passion is working with individuals living with orofacial myofunctional and feeding/swallowing disorders. However, she also enjoys working with any child or adult suffering from speech, language, or cognitive disorders. Throughout her career, Margaret has worked in a variety of settings including schools, Early Intervention (birth to 3-years-old population), as well as outpatient clinic at two of the highly respected hospitals in the area.

      Margaret is also bilingual in Polish providing services to those patients who feel more comfortable in their native language.

      Anne Marie Pasternock, MA CF-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist completing her clinical fellowship. She completed her Master of Arts degree with a thesis from the University of Iowa where she received a departmental scholarship and teaching assistantship. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music with a concentration in vocal performance from Illinois Wesleyan University. She transitioned into the field of communication disorders with a post-baccalaureate certificate in speech-language pathology from Northwestern University.

      During her graduate education, Anne Marie was one of ten students nationally recognized by the American Speech and Hearing Association, receiving the SPARC (Students Preparing for Academic and Research Careers) award with a grant for professional development. Her most recent research project on motor stability has also received recognition from the Illinois Speech and Hearing Association.

      Anne Marie has experience in working with both the pediatric and adult populations. She is passionate about improving the quality of life for her clients for all ages. Anne Marie has been trained by speech-language pathologists in top-rated voice clinics, hospitals, and a private medical practice. Outside of the office, Anne Marie continues to build her skills as a musician and enjoys creating handmade products for her Etsy store.
